NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Courses are available at our club on a regular basis. This course is a one day, 8-hour course. The cost is $105. This course is designed for every level shooter. If you’ve never touched a firearm or you shoot regularly, you will benefit from this course.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. During this traditional, instructor-led course you will receive direct instruction from our team of NRA-certified instructors from beginning to end. During the course, a team of NRA Certified Instructors will teach comprehension and application of gun safety rules, range protocol, proper handling, loading and unloading procedures, application of pistol shooting fundamentals, stable shooting positions, live fire, and ending with a final shooting qualification.

.22 caliber pistols and ammunition will be provided for attendees.

You MUST REGISTER ONLINE for this class using the link above. Only 40 seats are available.

This is a six-hour training class required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can buy a license. You must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training. Lunch break is built into the schedule but no lunch is provided.

Important In order to prepare for your class, read Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9 located at Today’s Hunter & Trapper in PA.

NOTE: You must be at least 11 years of age to register for this class!
